Kangaroo backpack 1 Attachment(s) Have anyone used this kind of bag for their furkids? Is it comfortable for them? Mike is soon 10 months old and already 10 pounds hehe :) I have a pet backpack but it's already too small and I don't want to buy a bigger size. Mike has no problem going in and staying in it, but it quickly gets very hot inside and I want him to be comfortable. I'm looking for something to be used maximum 2-3 times per month when we go to places where dogs are not allowed unless in a carrier or backpack. Any suggestions? :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa |
Hello Mike, you might want to check with someone you might know that sews. People are always bringing me things to alter etc instead of buying new. |
Example, I make dog harnesses out of soft window screening that people really like especially in the summer heat! |
1 Attachment(s) I have a similar one. it's a front carrier, similar to this pic but the legs do not stick out, pup sits inside the carrier,my kid weighs 12 pounds |
I don’t think that kind is good for them because that’s not how they would naturally sit. |

I had one for my last 5lb Yorkie and he loved it. He was very comfortable in it and would sit still when he saw me pick it up. Never carried him in it for long periods of time but it did serve the purpose. I found it on Amazon. :) |

I don't know if you can get these shipped to turkey but this is pretty awesome https://thepocopet.com/ |
1 Attachment(s) We picked up the new bag today, just wanted to share if someone else will be looking for options in the future. We are travelling this month and I was looking for a backpack and for a rolling carrier that can be taken on the plane. But as a bonus - the trolley part and the handle can be taken out to use this bag as a backpack. Also the mesh window can be rolled down for extra air and view, especially good for summer. Yay sooo happy I found something for my teapot who is already 10 lbs but likes to be carried around like he is twice smaller :D:D:D |
Very nice, I like the mesh part, keeps the pup cooler in hot weather, also serves multi purpose. Happy that you found something for your lil teapot. |

The legs out design doesn't look very comfortable to me. Laurel's body is different from my human children's bodies. Some of the inexpensive dog carriers look more like costumes, trying to imitate the look of some of my favourite human infant carriers without understanding the function of them. My favourite carriers for Laurel are a purse made out of the same material as the Baja hoodie I wore over the sling when she was an infant and a DIY: https://www.mysocalledcraftylife.com...ozy-pet-sling/ designed for a dog's body, not a human's. Because I seriously geek out on this sort of stuff, I have altered the pattern even further to take into account the fact that my kids like to cuddle next to my heart and see the world closer to adult eye level. Most designers seem to want to doggie bouncing around at my hip like a purse. It probably isn't that important if you only use the sling 1-3 times a month for hiking. An old pouch style human baby sling worked for the first few months after Laurel came home and I just tied her on safely with a T-shirt long enough to look through the boxes in my closet and find one on "gotcha day". She's an 8 month old intact preteen right now so she can easily manage 5+ miles on the trail and there are way too many interesting things to smell on the ground. We still love our sling for cuddles. My favourite time is in the morning when I know I need to get the dishes washed or some sort of food packed and ready to go but I don't waaaaaaaaaant to leave my cuddly little girl to go do chores. And I don't have to. :D |

I'm so happy with a trolley bag we got - after our trip next month I'll take off the wheels and will use it a backpack. |
