pet scale Does any one have any good recommendations on a pet scale? I'm wanting to keep an eye on Ollie's weight as well as the other three but most concerned about Ollie's. I have wanted one for a long time but am pretty much ready to buy one now. I don't need one that goes super tiny or super big my smallest is 10 pounds and my biggest is 16 pounds. |
Wouldn't a regular bathroom scale work? You can get them on Amazon for $16. https://www.amazon.com/TOP-MAX-Bathr...oghydr-20&th=1 |

I use my bathroom scale which has digital readings. I just weigh myself, write that number down, pick Gidget up and then subtract first reading from this. It gives me pounds.ounces. Has always given me an accurate weight for both of us. :) |

Good that you give Callies the shots a money saver for sure. I hate taking Cody to the vet, he gets so stressed out, but I like the fact that I can get him weighed every month, his weight goes up and down. I had written down the scale my vet uses so I could buy the same one, I have to search my computer to see where I save it lol. |

Taylor, I use a baby scale. The numbers always match up with the baby scale at the vet's office, so I believe it is accurate within ounces. This is the one I use: https://www.target.com/p/salter-elec...e/-/A-10019461 I don't recall paying anywhere near that much for it! :p Look around for a better price. Use it on a level hard surface, ideally the same spot for consistency. |
I use a regular six inch diameter flat top approx kitchen scale, put a larger hard tray on the scale, zero it and it works well. Only hazard is that he might fall off. I always do it with a helper to steady the tray and dog. It is very important to do it with a helper as dogs can get wiggly. Also put the scale on the floor so nothing can happen if he falls. Good idea to have a harness and leash on for further safety. A non slip mat on the tray also makes life safer and easier. I know this may scare some, but it works for me with precautions mentioned above. I am sure that a vet would be happy to weigh the pet when needed. |

We still use a big digital food scale for our little guy at 7 months. LOL But you can always strap him into a harness or carrier and use a hanging luggage scale then subtract the weight of the bag/carrier. it is much cheaper, |

I always use a baby scale and it works perfectly. I got mine on amazon and paid no more than $20.00 |
