Rescue friend needs info about blue born. 2 in litter are blue.

Are you sure? What do they look like? Generally they are supposed to have lower immune systems, skin issues and a shorter life span. Spay the mother, neuter the father and then keep and take care of both of those puppies or find someone ho is willing to deal with the issues. You can search the site for more info but that is just like a summary.

Unfortunately my devices are being weird and I can only get on this page with my phone so I can’t upload a pic or search. I remember a little blue born...Mack? Is he still with us?

If the lady that was in Texas- I think her name was Kendra. I could use some vet referrals for who helped you with Mack

Yes but he does have a lower immune system. Even after being vaccinated for parvo he ended up getting it. I think they had a cancer scare too but I’m not sure.

She rarely posts on here. She only comes back occasionally to update about Mack.

If this dog was a rescue it possible that the dog is not a full yorkie or didn’t mate with a full yorkie and that could explain the color difference. Blue born puppies are not blue when they are born.

Really?i thought they looked different when born. I wish I could upload pictures. The pups look silver just born. They are from a breeder who is I guess pre-emptively reaching out to a rescue to possibly take the pups. The rescue can’t find any vets out here that knows anything about blue borns.

They do look different they look grayish just not blue like the name would suggest. If this breeder doesn’t have papers on the parents it still very well could just be a mixed puppy. Although I guess it’s good for a vet to know about them but there isn’t anything that can be done. It’s a wait and see kind of thing. They could thrive and be perfectly fine or they could end up having issues there just isn’t anyway to tell. I certainly hope the breeder spays and neuters the parents otherwise she is just playing with fire.

KendraE is her name on YT. There are pictures of Baby Mack on her page...you can see if the two your friend has are similar looking. If you private message her, she may get it in an email. I wish the best of luck that they do well.
