Little Odd Goofball-isms! What About Yours?!! So what is one of your little ones' idiosyncrasies? Piper has this thing about warm-hot water. I mean, she's obsessed with drinking as much as possible as quickly as possible. I was reminded of this earlier today (I posted a thread about her hot h2o obsession sometime back...) when, after helping Mom dry her ankles, Piper got in shower and started lapping up whatever water she could get. I had to go in and physically remove Pipe, cuz she ain't gonna stop for nothin'! And Annie-bar-the-doors if she can get to a bowl/tub of hot water...she won't move her head away even when tub is being lifted up away from her! Anxious to hear what you've got with yours!! Gosh, how I treasure the uniqueness and pure fun that are inherent with our personality-plus little loves! |

Every evening after dinner, Duchess gets a treat. She has this weird thing where she must walk the same path to the only place she can eat her treat......this one particular chair. No matter where in the house I put her treat, she walks the same path to her chair. You can get to the chair from several other directions but she must take the same path. I have tons of other chairs but she will only eat her treat in that one chair. She is truly a creature of habit. |
And once they've made up their mind about something, that's it!!! |
I cannot take the fact that they try to get out of walking in damp grass when going potty only to come in and promptly sneak and do it under the table. |
They both sleep with me every night and every morning Sasha will wake me up when she needs to go potty. I get out of bed and she stands at the edge of the bed and when I go to grab her she literally throws herself backwards and flops on her back waiting for a belly rub. I call it the Sasha flop and after 3 years of seeing this it still brings a smile to my face every morning. |

Duchess does that too, she flops her back when I call her and want to pick her. She doesn't want to be picked up so she flops on back waiting for a belly rub hoping I will forget to pick her up instead. |
I swear, these little ones are always thinking!! Always working the angle and making it work for them. And I couldn't love 'em more for that--and for being so clever and for being clever in such cute ways!!!! |
Zeus has so many. The funniest thing he does is how he eats. He grabs 4-6 (always an even amount) of kibble and takes them from the bowl to their Kong pillow in front of the window. He lays them out in a row left to right on the pillow. He then eats each piece separately right to left. If he is in the mood (usually morning), he will feed his brother by bringing him an extra piece. Perseus is pretty laid back. The only weird thing he does has to do with his blankie/lovie. He must take it with him to whatever room he is in -- he will lay with it a few minutes and then move on; however, it must be in the room he is in for him to be happy. I sure love these babies so much! |
You've got a couple of theee most adorable, endearing, funny little guys everrrr! I just love your two, too!!! |
Bella likes to play with her food. She will grab a nugget and run a few steps and fling it. Then she will roll around on/by it. She will lay it in front of Bailey and dare her to try and take it. (Sometimes Bailey is faster and will grab it and eat it) |
I've had many foster dogs and a few of my own in this house over the years but none of them but Tibbe growls himself to sleep. At night when he's all cuddled down with me & starting to drift off to sleep, he growls off and on till asleep. He's done it ever since I got him at age 9 mos. & has done so right along. Doesn't do it hardly ever if he's sleeping farther than arm's length from me but if we're all cuddled up close or he's very near me, it's growl-a-bye nights. Only dog I've ever known to do this. |
