Your Opinions on Something On my Facebook Yorkie group I saw a post about a member's poor lil baby dying of a heart attack. I commented that I was really sorry, that the poor lil thing must have been terrified in the last few moments. Someone replied to my comment and said I should watch what I say. It really didn't dawn on me--I can be dense sometimes lol--that I might make it worse. I deleted the comment and made a better one. Your opinions? Did I do right? I was originally thinking of the doggy, not the owner. |
I wouldn't take that personally - bc you really didn't mean it in such a way to hurt anyone, that was not your intention at all. I can see where the owner might be sensitive from seeing the comment bc she's probably already been thinking it herself. I think it was really nice of you to delete it, and do it over. The intention was good, so don't beat yourself up :). |
I have to agree with Ann. Unless you have lost a much loved fur companion you cannot imagine the pain the owner is going through. Speaking from my own experience of loosing these precious babies, the pain in your heart is unbearable. The poor person as Ann wrote is most likely dwelling on that thought herself, thinking how her baby must have suffered. Take no offense to her comment, you didn't mean it that way. |

Actually, you're so right, Matese. I never thought of it like that. I HAVEN'T experienced that, not directly. I'm glad I deleted the comment and made a better one. You know, I wish all the fur babies could live forever! And if not, then at least a peaceful, in the sleep go. But I'm trying to focus and love and life and my Freya baby. :) |
