My Aunt's New Adopted Yorkie 3 Attachment(s) I just wanted to introduce you all to Bailey. My cousin Matt's (whom I live with) mother adopted Bailey off Petfinder at a local shelter here in Jersey. Bailey is 10 years old, and we believe he is only half Yorkie. The other half may be Poodle, but we're not sure. He sure is a cutie pie. He was a stray, is neutered, but unfortunately he has a collapsed trachea. I heard him coughing and it's awful. :( If you've never heard it before, you better hope you never do! He came over yesterday and I told my Aunt everything she needed to know (because I'm a "know it all") :p and I gave him a bath. He wasn't eating at first so I put a little Nutrical on his nose. Then I gave him some wet Science Diet, Chicken Soup, and Cottage Cheese. He FINALLY ate some. Then he started eating Baby's dry Chicken Soup. He also likes the doggy dried ice cream. He was eating and drinking! I'm so glad I got him to eat. I know Aunt Margaret would have been VERY upset if she couldn't get him to eat seeing she is alone in her house. Now she has Bailey to keep her company! He's very docile, and loves to sit on her lap. He wasn't crazy about Baby, but that's b/c I think she was trying to jump all over him and play. He wasn't mean to her but he let out a little noise like, please leave me alone. :) I think Aunt Margaret and Bailey will be very happy with each other. When she was over yesterday, I introduced her to YT. She loved it. I'll have to help her set up an account! Thanks for reading and taking a look at Bailey's pics (these were taken before I gave him a bath)!!! Look at that cute brown nose and floppy ears!!! :animal36 PS. I put him in the XPen, b/c Baby wouldn't leave him alone! He didn't mind it at all. :D |
Bailey sure is a cutie. |
He is so cute. Congratulations to your aunt on her precious new addition! |
Bailey is very cute and it was so nice of your Aunt Margaret to adopt him. Even tho he's 10 yrs old, he is still capable of being a loving pet. Best to you all with him, and keep the stories and pictures coming. We all enjoy them. |
He is so cute. I am sure he will be a lot of company to your Aunt. |
Its always good to hear when a fur baby left the shelter and have a loving warm new home! Congrats to your aunt, she's very sweet for taking him. |

Bailey sure is a handsome little guy! And it sounds like he is a lucky one too, having found a lovely family. Congratulations to you all! |
I sure hope he can hear our collective "AWWWWWWW's" when we see his pic. Give your aunt hugs for me and smoochies to her new boy..Thank her for us, too! |
Glad to hear that some people dont mind adopting older pets. It just breaks my heart to see older dogs at the shelter that say on their profile "given up because of age". I just dont know how someone could keep a dog for that long then just give them up so they can get a puppy. I know in the future when I am able to get a big dog, Im going to the shelter to adopt the most unwanted dog. Hes very cute, :) I love his lil nose! |
Bailey is adorable. So sweet from your aunt to give him another chance at a happy life. Im sure they will be very happy together. Great pics. Cant wait to see more pics and read stories. |
Aww, he's a cute little gut! Conrats to your Aunt on her new furbaby! |
