oldest yorkie?? hi everyone, I had my little yorkie go in for a wellness exam today and the vet mentioned that the average yorkies lifespan is between 12-14 years. Does anyone have a yorkie that's older than that? how old was/is it, and how big is your yorkie? my stella is almost 6 years old and fully grown at 3.5 lbs. Thinking that she may have only 6 years left makes me quite sad, i need more time! |
1 Attachment(s) here's a pic of stella from her 5th birthday, hopefully she'll have many more to come :) |
My last girl was a big girl, she weighed in at 17 pounds, not over weight just a big dog, she went to Rainbow bridge at 17 years old. You have years ahead of you, don't dwell about the future just love her and continue to give her the best life you can. Stella is just adorable. |

I’m not sure anyone can fully guess how long we have with our pups. Instead of focusing on when we might not have them anymore focus on enjoying the time you do have with them! |
Chester is almost 16 in September 24 and he got heart failure on Christmas and they gave him 2 weeks to live and now he is doing pretty darn good, his vision and hearing is not good but he eats well. He gets 3 meds q12 hr |

That's kinda hard for me. I'm new to Yorkies, yes, but with my anxiety and worrying nature I think about the negative things. I try not to think about the end of Freya's path but...most of the time I succeed lol. |
