Crate toys Could someone please suggest some crate toys that are favorites ? One of the yorkies has a restricted diet, one had 12 teeth removed when we adopted him and the third could have any kind. They are not in a crate every day, but they are when I go out. I give them a few pieces of kibble, but they are all at correct weight. Thanks. Gew |
Mine like nylabones. If I have to leave them I gate them in our extra room and give them a few soft toys and some chew toys like nylabones. |
I appreciate your response. I have tried nylabones, but somehow my yorkies don’t like them. Mine like to retrieve soft toys outside the crate. I have a basket ful of toys i’ve bought but ........ guess Yorkie Rescue can use them. I’m afraid of anything that can be broken into pieces they might choke on. Maybe it’s their ages. The three year old plays with anything, but the senior boys..... Gew |
My baby likes plush squeaky toys. |
I don’t leave toys in her crate, just a blanket and her . Emma does have roam of our non carpeted areas when we are out and about and she has access to her toy box. She’s had a preference for cheap plastic squeaky toys and one particular brand of ball . I wish she like rope toys and stuffier because There are some really cute ones . |

For toys, we use small stuffed animals with squeakers, but only when she's under supervision, because once she broke the stitches and pulled out the stuffing--you don't want them to swallow that. Also, squeakers are a choking hazard if they pop out of the toy. We check the stuffed animals for torn seams from time to time and either sew them up or replace them. We also check the quality of the seams at the time we purchase them. Bella also has a small rope bone and a rubbery Nylabone, but she doesn't play with them as much as she used to when she was a puppy. |
