Actually the automatic litter box is much cleaner than scooping because every time your cat poops, an automatic scooper (not sure what it's call), pushes the waste into the receptacle minutes after they are done. Every time they step in the litter box, it's a clean litter box. All you have to do is empty the receptacle. The one I have says you can go 30 days without emptying.
So far.....it's gets 5 stars. The litter is actually blue crystals that does an excellent job of masking the orders. I love it and after 30 something years of owning cats, I can tell you at my age I am sick of cleaning litter boxes.
