New here! Is my toot a Yorkie/Silky Mix? Hello! Wonderful lady that I got her from said the mom was. I'm not so sure, she was TINY (5lbs) and platinum colored all over. Maybe silky/yorkie mix? Claims the dad is 4lbs. Either way, I'm loving this little floof. She is the most wonderful thing in the world! She is 17 weeks old, and 3.6lbs. I'd like some advice on what to expect, and just one more question: She doesn't seem to be fluffy on her legs at all. There's wispy-ness as you can see in the photos, but now real fluff. Is this normal? Thank you! https://ibb.co/bsntow https://ibb.co/cdzZvb https://ibb.co/gv1KTw https://ibb.co/iFSF1G |
Welcome to YT, your baby is just beautiful. There in not a huge difference between a silky and a yorkie. A silky is a larger version of a yorkie whose hair does not grow as long as a yorkie, it stops about an 2 to 4 inches past it's stomach. They have the same personality, prey drive, mischievous ways of yorkies. "If" you have a yorkie silky mix, you have the best of two breeds. She is a beautiful lil girl, At 17 weeks old and only 3.6 pounds I don't think she is mixed with silky, if she were, at 17 weeks old she would weigh more the she does. |
