Roots.... Me again with another 'beginners' question! lol Is there any way to tell what a dogs color will be like when they get older? Chloe has 'roots'. Her face as you all have seen is a blonde color but her back is a 'yorkie' color (grey and blackish). If you hold the 'yorkie' hairs out straight, the roots are a VERY light blonde. Is this any indication of her adult color or will it change as she gets older? Thanks for any input! PS...Sorry I haven't gotten new pics up yet...I PROMISE to have new ones this weekend :D |
You just PROMISED to post pics this weekend, and I am holding you to your word! :p |
My chloe is a year old and constantly changing. She will have roots that will be a different color, and then all of a sudden they will change again  With my experience there is now way of telling but some of the people that are breeders here on YT probobly know better :) |
I'm sure you can see the next color coming in by looking at the roots. But - that doesn't mean there won't be more colors after that. My pup has turned silver and a light tan. I think his colors are becoming beautiful..... he's beginning to look like a little "pastel Yorkie." But he may change again - time will tell! Carol Jean |
