Yorkie 4th Fireworks, crowds, barbeques, guests, water play..............Hoping everyone's yorkies have a fun, safe, calm 4th of July celebration. Our little girl, so far, has never had anxiety or distress associated the 4th. We're planning for ways to keep her feeling safe and calm. Would be interested on how others handle this. :flag: |
This is Fabian's first Fourth of July, at just under six months. We went to two cookouts and he was very social with everyone there, of all ages. We didn't know how he'd take to the fireworks, so we stayed home. Lots of people in our neighborhood are setting off their own and he doesn't like the sounds. As long as he's on someone's lap, he seems to be OK. (Yup, he's milking it to get to stay up past his bedtime. <g>). |
Im ticked at our neighbors. I was helping a friend with his new place and my parents came over to help after we ate dinner and my grandma stayed home with the pups. Well some turd next door decided to set of fire works and Callie was scared. My grandma can't pick up Callie because she's 18 pounds so she was hiding in the laundry room. The fireworks were also raining down on our yard and deck. Callie is a grampy's girl (my dad) so he was mad and had he been here he would have gone to the neighbors house. It should be illegal to do it in neighborhoods. |
