Ok, so I don't know what is going on with Jack but there have been several times when I see poop on his bed! At first he would switch over to Abby's (my female yorkie)bed and I never realized why. Then I noticed it was because he wpuld have poop on his bed! So now he pretty much only sleeps on Abby's bed but now I just saw poop on BOTH beds! Does anyone know what the heck is going on? He's 11 going on 12. Is this like a getting older thing? I know he knows where his pad is. This started happening maybe 2-3 months ago. Or is this some stubborn dog thing?? It's really annoying we just washed Abby's bed last night because it happened again. Please, help!

Did you switch treats or food, causing a change in his bowel needs? Is the poo normal?

His poop is perfectly normal (same as always). I have no idea what's going on :(

Is he pooing in the bed or is it like a smear? My older girl has IBD and ocassionally it acts up and her butt is very messy and I might miss it and it smears all over wherever she goes. It's not her fault so I just cleaner her and wherever it is. You might want a vet check to make sure everything is ok.

It's usually regular poop. If it's a smear I don't really mind it because ok know it got stuck on their butt. It's weird, I know he knows he shouldn't poop on the beds. I have no idea what's going on :confused:

You need to let the vet check him out.

It can be quite frustrating. Here is my advise.

You have to put up the toilet spot. This has to be an area where your Yorkie can get to each time he has to eliminate. You have to look at the Yorkie and go together with him to the toilet area every time he looks like he is going to eliminate.

Of course, commend him when he does so he gets the thought that going there is a good thing.

Hmm..that does sound frustrating.

Not sure if this would help, but do you notice any regular potty times? It might be hard to change as he's already 11 years old. But if you get him to potty on a schedule, you could contain him to a potty pad area at those times (away from the beds) and let him out only after he poops?
