What nutritional supplement for joints that is safe? I have a 7 1/2 year old yorkie who seems to exhibit aging joints. Any recommendations regarding a supplement besides glucosomine etc. More like a treat that will help, any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank You. |
Treats with glucosamine in them or treats for joints don't have enough in them to be healful but Dosoquin and Glycoflex III have chews that look like treats. I have used both. |
The only one that has at least some studies behind it is stuff like Cosequin. |
My vet recommended Androitin M. We started using it about three months ago. My almost 9 year old, Rin, is acting like she feels like a puppy. Playing and running, like she hasn't for the past couple of years. |

We use Cosequin , Ziva has a sensitive digestion and they don't bother her at all. I just started her on them. I used them for my Wheaten terrier and saw a big difference. I buy the 85 chewable tablets standard strength and break them in thirds, she thinks they are a treat. |
I use GlycoFlex. My vet approves. I've noticed a difference with a few little things. He's been on it for about 6 months now. |
