Pet safe Windex alternative? Hello! Hope I'm in the right section. I am looking for alternatives to Windex and other commercial cleaning products. My sweet baby boy occasionally licks the windows and I want to be sure he is not ingesting anything nasty. Any pet/ eco friendly products appreciated! |
Window licking You can mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 1 cup warm water in a sprayer and use that. |

I use a vinegar and water combination for both floors and windows because I have a "licker". My house smells like Easter eggs. |

Thank you! I've always had a problem with vinegar smell making me nauseous. But the scented ones look interesting! |
Yup...vinegar w/ water! |
Ms. Meyers products are supposedly pet safe, as well. Quote:

I used to be a window washer/janitor and we used Dawn dish soap. Just Googled and saw this: 5. Sparkling Windows. Try this recipe from Merry Maids: mix 3 drops Dawn dish soap in 1 gallon of water and fill a spray bottle with the solution. Spray and wipe as you would with any window cleaner.Aug 31, 2016 |
