Non-surgical treatment of tracheal collapse Non-surgical treatment of tracheal collapse I am not sure how this goes but the information was too good not to try this. My vet just gave me information on a new procedure which is being done here in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. It's call Tracheobronchial stent. It is a NON-INVASIVE procedure. The procedure provides immediate relief from dyspnea. Veterinary Specialty Center is the name of the place. Go to www.vetspecialty.com They also have a new treatment for bone tumors called Samarium-157. Their number is 847-459-7535 :) |
Thank you so much for posting this. I was just informed that the Love of my Life, my furbaby "Bossy" was diagnosed with Tracheal Collapse. I live in Los Angeles and hope that the procedure has made its way here. |
Tracheal stenting is not new. Not every patient is a candidate for the procedure, and it carries lots of risks. I have a dog w/ a profound collapse, medically managed, and is now 15.5 years old. Surgery is usually a last resort. Do you work at this place that you're promoting all their procedures? |
