pit bull/yorkie mix Has anyone seen this? It actually makes a beautiful mix. I just don't know what they call it. And who decides what these mixes (designer dogs) are called? |
Breeding mixed dogs is not good. I'm not even sure how that mix is possible and why anyone would do that. |
I have not seen this mix and I can't imagine how it might benefit either breed. Where have you seen it? |
There are a lot of pictures of yorkie / pit mixes, just google it. I figure the female was the pit, the yorkie male used a stepladder . Why ppl allow this is insane. I had two un-spayed girls, when they were in season I watched them like hawks, of course they were never allowed near males. Just no excuse for this type of breeding. Insane. |
Breeding mixed dogs happens. Anything that's part yorkie, I am a fan of. I have seen it by googling it. Since pit bulls & yorkies are 2 of my favorites. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YP5zNmhE0w The guys don't need a ladder, just a will to go for it. |

Hey, I've worked in 2 shelters so you don't have to tell me. But what is killing those poor dogs is idiots who give up their dogs for no reasons, losers who don't know how to take care of them, bad breeders who don't care about the animals-only making a buck, punks who think it's fun to fight them & dump em. Making a new breed or responsibly breeding is not hurting anyone. Also, sometime nature happens & makes new things. |

To be technical & fair: there really are no breeds. It's a manmade selection of looks. Letting dogs choose their partners is natural. |

Somebody call Maury! We need to see some DNA results! I mean, I guess its theoretically possible with a big yorkie and one of those small "pocket" bully pits but a lot of these dogs in the pictures just look like they have some wiry terrier in them and folks are just calling them this. Kind of like how EVERY DOG IN THE POUND OR RESCUES is supposedly part Lab... No one is doing any dna test on them to tell what they are, they are taking donations for food, who is spending money on tests???? I have no problem with crosses in the case where folks are developing a new breed like Goldendoodles or labradoodles, every breed started out that way, who's to say people still can't create breeds???? As long as they are creating a proper network, keeping records, and being careful with negative genetic defects, I'm good. |
