I moved the pads just outside the door Hi, everyone I removed the pads from inside, put them just outside, put a bell on the door and I am trying to train my puppy (5 months) to ring the bell when she needs to go. A couple of times she got it right but then she went and pooped inside where the pads were present. The thing is, I took a few days off work, but when I go back to work I leave more than 7 hours. So, lets say she peed at 7 am and I leave from 8am- 3 pm. This means 8 hours since her last pee. So, can I leave her pads while I am gone and remove them when I am back or is this too confusing for her? If not, what can I do? I don't want her to think peeing inside is OK. Another thing: If I am planning to move the pad a little bit further should I do it from the start or should I wait untill she gets used to going outside the door first? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks. |

yes,but will this not teach her that the place of the pad is where she can go even when I come from work and remove the pad ? |

I certainly hope so, although I am a concerned about the time it will take her to figure out: No pad on the floor equals no pee. Thank's for your reply. |
