Those Golden Moments
 
Came unnoticed downstairs this AM to my husband sitting with Fabian on his lap, singing "Me and you and a dog named Boo" quietly to him. What moments make YOU feel like life is absolutely perfect?

When my adopted boy is running free in the yard chasing birds and butterflies. Once a city leashed walked boy, now living a county life. The smile on his face as he dashes around the yard, yeah, for me, life can't get better then this.

Same here, when Duchess is running free at the dog park, you can just tell she is at her happiest. The dog par I take her to is about a mile long and 3/4 mile wide.......she runs the length of it at full speed and you just see the joy in her eyes. Her favorite is when she finds a big dog on the other side of the fence and the run up and down barking at each other. She absolutely is in heaven.

Sometimes I have to make her sit still and drink water because she runs and barks so much she starts drooling. I'm always afraid her little heart will bust is she doesn't calm down. She runs the entire time we are at the dog park,

When me and hubby are sitting on our bed, and all 4 of our dogs are up there sleeping....utterly content and safe with us...and we're just staring at them sleeping/breathing...and we're both astoundingly in love with just sitting there reveling in everything that they are to us. :love: :love: :love: :love:

At almost 10 years old, just being able to see little Tibbe look at me when he's happy with his world is totally golden, as is every wonderful day with him from now on.

Because he's pure terrier, despite his toy size, it's just as golden to get to watch the earthy side of Tibbe outside in the yard in his element when he's sniffing out and exploring all the paths where the squirrels or a stray cat coursed, strong little neck slightly arched as he lowers his head a tad to better catch the scent, ears and tail erect, eyes bright with intent, back straight as an arrow and body stiff with determined terrier mission, he's the picture of a terrier's pleasure at being able to partake in a joyous, natural enjoyment of the instinctive side of his purpose in life - foraging, tracking and hunting.

lol sounds like my boy, free to explore, that is Cody's most pleasurable thing to do HUNT lol. Life can't get better lol.

Piper's sheer joy and happiness when running full-tilt toward her latino novio (scruffy pooch who kicks dirt in her face--"I don't care! I looove him!" Also her focus and fun when digging furiously in damp mud to bury her 'good' bone. The muddier her lil beak the more pleased she is...I don't know, there' just something about seeing Piper unabashedly happy and excited that sorta chokes me up (and laugh out loud at the same time)

when Lacey full out runs to come inside and all her hair is flying in the wind, the look on her face screams "I love to run..I'm free!" just pure joy!
