Old member from waaay back.... It's been years since I posted but I have been visiting and reading up a little these last few months. My darling little yorkie Mia passed away at the age of 9 about 4 years ago after battling diabetes for over 2 years. It was a very rough year for me as I had unexpectedly lost my mother & then my mother-in-law passed away & couple of months later my father-in-law. Mia's health declined and she passed away about 10 months after my mom. She had really been a great source of comfort through the loss of my mom and in-laws & I was completely devastated. I still had my maltese Bentley up until January of this year, he was 15 and was in a lot of discomfort and I had to make the most difficult decision to have him put down. He was such a devoted little companion up until his passing. This past November I was able to locate a sweet little 6 month old female, her name is Emme and she's such joy to have around. She's super playful and was in dire need of a playmate. I had been keeping in touch with Emme's breeder & found out that she was considering placing Emme's littermate. I was super excited to bring home Faith about a month ago and I'm loving every minute of having these 2 sweet little girls in my home! I feel like they definitely remembered each other after being apart for almost 5 months are a very bonded. The girls will be a year old in May and I'm having a blast with them. Not sure if anyone is still around from way back when but it's a big hello to all you yorkie people!:) |
Welcome back! Sounds like Emme and Faith are keeping you busy! |
Welcome back and hope you're enjoying your new babies |
Welcome back,it's always nice to see older members returning. |
Welcome back! I am so sorry for your losses. That must have been terrible. Sounds like you also have made great gains in Emme and Faith. Congrats on them! Would love to see pictures. |
Your strength and resilience are truly inspiring; you do great honor to your loved ones who passed. I love that you doubled-up, so to speak and you sound wonderful! These little ones of ours make sure that we enjoy life and can't help but laugh out loud everyday--no better way to heal and move on...Nice meeting you and your girls! |
A wonderful ending to such a sad story. Welcome back. Love those babies every minute of the day. |
We'd love to see pics of your new furbabies! |
1 Attachment(s) Here's a pic of my 2 darlings. Faith is on the left, Emme on the right. I got bit by the yorkie bug with my first little one. After she passed away I wanted another one. I just wasn't sure if I truly wanted one or if I just wanted my Mia. She was a very sweet little girl that loved to be held. I enjoy having a dog in my lap, there's something so comforting about it. Anyway it took me about 4 years to finally get another yorkie. I'm thrilled to have two little ones that are total lap dogs. |
Oh golly, your pups are beautiful! I am sure they are sweet hearts! |
Absolutely gorgeous. Those faces could melt a heart of stone! |
Your babies are just beautiful. |
One look and you can tell these two little mugs pack personality-plus, for sure! Faith and Emme are little doll-babies and I love their coloring. |
Thank you everyone! I think yorkies are the total package. Cute, feisty, affectionate, so sweet and entertaining & just a joy to behold! No wonder we all become addicted to this adorable breed!!! |
