My yorkie is submissive! Hi everyone, new to Yorkie Talk. My one year old girl is so lovely but she lies on her back and opens her legs everytime she sees another dog or person. I am hoping she isn't scared or anything - any advice ...:) |
Hello and welcome The only person my boy will do that to is me. Looks like you have a mild mannered little girl |

My 17 pound girl was no means passive lol, she was as feisty as they come right up until she was 13 yo. This husky scared the cr@@p outta her, and she flipped herself over in fear to show that husky he was the dominant one, she embarrassed the heck outta me by that performance, poor thing was traumatized that entire day. |
What is the definition of a submissive dog? BY FAMILYPET The submissive dog readily surrenders authority and control to the leader. She easily accepts human leadership, tending to be meek and mild and non-threatening. With no desire to be in charge. The more signs of submissiveness include: • Rolling over onto her back with the belly showing when another dog or person walks up to her. |
