Can they be taught to pick up after themselves?
 
I have a basket of toys for Homer and Kady, I went and looked at it today and it is completely empty. :eek: Half of the toys are in the game room, some in the living room and most of the rest are under my couch :confused: .... Does anyone have any idea's on how to get these two spoiled dogs to clean up after themselves???????? :rolleyes: Does anyone else seem to have the problem of their babies pulling every single toy out and leaving it??? Silly dogs!!!

Well, besides strowing their toys all over the house and yard, my puppies also love to collect shoes, socks, trash and carry it to their beds, or out in the yard. I have to search house and yard for laundry! The other day my son's shorts were out on the porch. He said 'oh, must have been the dogs' and went to his room. I called him back and he replied 'you want ME to pick them up?'

Whose messier, the dogs or the human kids??? HEHEHE I only have furbabies and they keep me on my toes!?!?!?!

Skinkids by far! They can reach so much more stuff. My boys are 15 and 18. Give me six yorkies anytime! The skinkids have that same blank look as you get from the pups - if you ask them to pick up after themselves :confused:

I think I will stick with my furbabies for awhile.... I will wait til my husband and I are a little older.... maybe like 26-27..... I have to say 21 is too young, and with these 2 pups, I think I would get NO sleep at all if I had a skinkid too! :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Teaching yorkies how to pick up after themselves? I'm still trying to figure out how to get my 3 year old to pick up after himself first! The yorkie is no problem to pick up after, all the little toys go in the same spot. Kids are a whole different ballpark.

For some reason mine hate for the toys to be in the basket, too!! Those darn hooves can be hard on bare feet, I'm tellin' ya! :eek:

Villette has the funniest pictures of when she got busy one day and wasn't paying enough attention to the girls. When she turned around they had gotten out all the toys and put them at her feet. It was hysterical. Maybe she'll see this and re-post the pics!

I know a few who can! But Tucker flips out when we try to put his away and goes nuts taking them out. :p

You are soooo right! I was 29 when I had my first :) That tells you how old I really am. Of course my son is almost your age. I had lots of fun before I had skinkids. Lots of fun with them. Now getting ready for a lot more fun after!!! :D I am glad I have my babies now, and the best thing - they never get mouthy! Their little growls and whines are always cute :animal36

Yep, same problem. Joey's not happy unless he has all of his toys scattered everywhere.

I've said that I was going to train him to pick them up. I know it can be done, but it takes time. I just haven't gotten there yet!
