Westminster 2017 - Yorkshire Terrier Breed video 1 Attachment(s) Wow! Those coats are unbelievably stunning! I liked the lady who gave her Yorkie a little smooch when it was on the table; the two of them seemed to have a great (personal) connection. I also liked that when they stopped in front of judge, her Yorkie looked right up at him--without prompting. I have no idea what was going on in the ring and I suppose each judge favors certain qualities, in addition to breed standard. The ribbon thing was a bit confusing for me and I have no idea which Yorkie "won." Plus, I have a question (or ten)...Are the topknot clips all the pups had on chosen/required for shows---that they're all the same? And finally, I absolutely loved seeing some feisty Yorkie traits shine through, even in the show ring! One little guy put on the brakes as he was returning to judge. (Piper does that after shopping in Wal-Mart and I'm taking cart back--she's, like, uh-uh, I'm done). Below is my very own version of Best at Being A Little Piper-Girl Everrr In the Universe. |

Dang! Not sure which is prettier---the pups or their names! Thank you very much for taking the time to help me better understand who got what, gemy! Were you in agreement with the judges' decisions? |

It was such a huge entry, and my connection to the internet was spotty, so but yes I particularly liked Best of Winners the female dog, I knew as soon as I saw her in the ring she should at the minimum make the cut. All placements certainly had high merit in my eye, and the judge cut a number of dogs early on that I would have as well. With so very many dogs competing it makes the field very difficult to win in. |
