In all seriousness, if you know the pup doesn't like kids, and will rarely be around them, then it should be ok. For the rare occasion that she will be around small children, just make sure she's safe by being picked up, or have her go in her own room or enclosure with all her necessities.... It's really easy to work around.
Kaji, my pup, hates kids. We go shopping often, or family get together where we see children. If the child is nice and asks, I will allow a quick pet as long as Kaji's in my arms and they're only allowed to touch his back. A couple of pats and it's over. I also have a carrier that he hides in when we shop. If it gets too overwhelming, he climbs in on his own to take a breather and be away from it all. When he's ready, he comes back out to walk or to be held. It helps that he's only 7 lbs. It makes it super easy to just hold him. |
