Let's talk about "division". That word seems to be brought up often lately.

There only is divison if "you allow it". Nobody is making anybody feel that tiny yorkies are anymore special than larger yorkies. We do love them all!

One is only divided when they choose to do so, again it's not forced mentally.

We are ALL given information from sources, let it be a web site, a friend, a member on a forum, etc. We either choose to agree with this or not, but in the end as a individual we decide where we personally stand on an issue.

I doubt any member here on YT is ever out to hurt anybody or make their Yorkie anymore superior over the next.

We are all here to share, enjoy, learn, and grasp new ideas and thoughts.

Let's just leave it at that. :)

But people are getting upset over it. The girl yesturday with the "I'm upset" thread feels like tinies are being discluded on here. Val feels like the bigger ones are. As long as people are upset, I care and I hope we can make them feel better somehow.

I agree Schatzie's mommy. I think there is only division when allowed. There are yorkies of all kinds, small, med, big, chocolate colored, silver, ect. We have always had threads celebrating the uniqueness of each kind, so what's with all the talk when we introduce a tinies thread? NOW it's suddenly division, it wasn't back in those other threads when we talked about other unique qualities? Whatever. I think we'er all adults and should be able to handle other peoples opinions. If you state your off topic opinion in a thread, you should be willing to accept the opinions and responses that will come to you. That's why it's a public forum.

I'm NOT saying we don't wanna make the members feel better, by all means of course we do. ALL I am saying, is us as individuals allow our feelings towards things, it's up to us to decide how someone or something is going to make us feel. :aimeeyork

I would just like to add that I LOVE all yorkies! Tall, short, fat, skinny, green, blue, floppy ears, ears that stand up, you get the idea. (okay I've never seen such a thing as a green yorkie but you know what I mean). I'm sorry that people are feeling divided, I do not believe that was ever an intent.

Let's just all agree that yorkies are wonderful and we are all guilty of spoiling them rotten ;)

This is so true. We must each take responsibility for how we feel. No one here would intentionally hurt someone else imo so if we react with that in mind we will all be better for it. Start from a positive place and we won't get hurt as easily hopefully. I need to learn this lesson too...as i sometimes take things too personally. :(

Based on the current status of things, the weight issue is not going away.

I don't think anyone wants to feel scared about starting a thread about a particular yorkie trait now for fear that someone may take offense to it. What fun would that be? Some share some traits and some share others, yorkies are yorkies and we love them all!!! :aimeeyork

I really think that those opinions and responses should stay respectful and curtious. If someone says they're feeling upset I don't think the response should be "If you don't like it, then get out." I am a sensitive person and I have a big heart when I see that someone is upset. I have cried over bad things people have said to me on YT before and those same feels always come flooding back to me if I see someone on here upset for whatever reason.

IMO EVERY yorkie is unique regardless of weight hight length colour, whether it has a docked or undocked tail. I truely believe that yorkies are a gift of God and are with Us yorkielovers to LOVE. I respect each and every yorkie in this world. All they want is for us to love them as they love us, so what is this about? I have read throughout this thread and wondered what our yorkies would think of us if they knew what we were arguing about? This is a proud breed and they will NEVER let their weight hight or colour bother them simply because they love who they are, why would we want to change that?

I never said if you don't like it, get out. I said what many others have said in the past, that if you don't like a thread, you don't have to read it or respond in it. I really wasn't trying to be rude or disrespectful. I think, in MY opinion, it's disrespectful to come into a thread to talk about what a horrible thread it is. Honestly, it's the internet and people have differences of opinions, we all do. We all have different sensitivity levels as well and none of us are psychic enough to know that what you say, which makes sense to some, might hurt others. I've had people say hurtful and bad things to me, but I don't lose sleep over it because it's just the internet. My point is that if you have a strong opinion that you express, you will probably encounter strong opinions back to you. People that know ME, know that I like my friends on YT and I have always been respectful, but if I feel like someone is being disrespectful or rude, I will not sit down and take it.

I agree with you that the internet it is harder to communicate I've said the same thing before. But if people are upset, like val and the other person who started that thead, then I think they should say so and maybe somehow we can make that person feel better or more included. Although that post was deleted, I did get the impression of "if you don't like it then get out." Whether you meant it or not, some others felt it was rude as well, so I'm not the only one. But I'm not YT admin, so I can agree with you to disagree and you can post however you like.

I totally agree that if you are upset about something, by all means, express it, vent, and get people's opinions. But do that in your own thread, start a new one. It's rude to come into a thread where others are enjoying themselves and posting pictures to express the upset feelings. Others thought THAT was rude also, so I wasn't the only one either. I've never had a problem with Val or anyone here, infact I love her pictures of Sully and have enjoyed conversations we've had in the past. I don't agree with what happened in that post. We can agree to disagree I guess and move on :D

:aimeeyork i that all yorkies are over weight in our hearts or they are in mine big or little their all the same size with the same amount of love now pixie to me is a dream come true i have always wanted a yorkie before i new that there was one of every size and i knew that they were not cheap so i thought i would never have one and if it werent for someone doing wrong by them then i never would have her and i would not care if she was little or big or if she stays little or gets big as long as she stays healthy and is around for a long time because i love them all but i will say that i love mine more and i think we all would cause mine is special to me as should she be. :aimeeyork


:aimeeyork i think that yorkies are all big at heart and that makes them over weight in mine and i if i get the chance to have an army of them i would but i wont and i never will have the money to special order size and shape and color and i dont thank i would if i could exually i know that i wouldnt it would be hard for me to even take one over the others so thank goodness i dont have the money for that and i think we all thank our lucky stars that we have the ones we got. i dont know how big pixie will get but if its 4lbs or 10 she is weighs heavy on my life and my family's so i dont care but who could with a face like this ............ :luvu:

I'm the one that started the thread, different but beautiful. It was about 2 yorkies, mine and my granddaughters,who I will be keeping for a while. As I stated in that thread.
Both Yorkies are 6 1/2 months old.
Jasmine, my Yorkie, is little, maybe 3 1/2 to 4 lbs. She is very tiny boned. Her hair is already about 1/2 way to the floor, but silky and kind of thin. Her top knot and legs are light blonde and her black hair has turned very silver. He is

Murphy is still very shiny black and a beautiful reddish brown. His hair is shorter than hers but much thicker. His ears are larger. He is longer than her but she is taller. He weighs more and is bigger boned
They are both so beautiful. Their personalities are different als. She is very sweet but can also be very feisty. She bosses both the guys around. He is the sweetest little guy. I've only had him a week and I just love him to death. It will be hard to give him up.
Yorkies are wonderful and beautiful regardless of their size. I love that Jasmine is little enough I can take her with me in her purse, but if she takes a spurt of growing and ends up being 10 lbs I won't love her any less.

I loved seeing all the different Yorkies when we had our play date the last of October. I was a new Yorkie owner and didn't realize they could look so different. They were all so beautiful.

I love this site and spend too much time on it. Since I started coming here. I have learned so much and I thought there were so many great people on here and was sort of getting to know some of you through your posts. I really hate to see the controversy and people getting rude with others.
