I agree and understand most of this. I don't have a Yorkie under 5 lbs. But yes I would love to purchase a tiny as long as it was healthy and I can understand a lot of you with tiny's out there getting upset. because it does seem like theres always someone saying some thing bad about them. I think some are just trying to get the word out that one should not breed for tines.and I can sure understand that. But tines can be in any litter. When I first started using the Internet and I would see all these tinies on peoples sites and how healthy and cute they are and then you would see them say don't ever get a tiny??????That's what I don't understand. same with teacup the word tea cup is used a lot but yet people on here are scared to use that word. That word does not bother me in any way . If someone wants to say look at my tea cup . That's fine with me. they can call it what ever they want to call it. to me its just another word used to say its very small.but if they are trying to use it to make more money then That's when I think its wrong.as for bragging about those tinis. I say brag away ... :D I was loving all the cute pictures. I Love all Yorkies.

Call me crazy but I am tired of being called criminal and a snob. Being told I got my dog for a status symbol. She isn't unhealthy, she isn't ugly and she isn't dumb. JUST IMAGINE if I said anything close to that about larger Yorkies. I don't get it and I am tired of trying to figure it out.
I am not "negative" regarding tiny yorkies. I am only negative toward the many breeders who "use" them as a way to fill their bank accounts. I love them! I've said it many times.

I missed the tiny thread and Im so sorry that feelings were hurt. I personally dont have anything against owning a tiny, what I don't agreed is in breeding them. I love everyones Yorkies: tinies, standards and bigger ones. In the end they all are Yorkies and they all are beautiful.

Hopefully we are here to enjoy yorkies, no matter what their size. Learn from eachother and help when we can, if ask.
Personally, I love all yorkies, they are like potato chips you can't have just one.
As far as breeding tinies, I beleive it's up to the individual. If someone wants to take the chance I believe they own their baby and have the right to do as they see fit. Hopefully the consequences will be considered, get good advise from their vet and do what they feel is right. Each of us have to live with the decisions we make for our babies.

lol I would of complained If That elephant took a crap That poor Yorkie standing next to him would not have a chance. lol
But I loved the part about the potato chips. lol

I was confused too. :confused: I thought maybe you requested it be locked because it was going off topic.

Like Julz mentioned, It seems to me like a lot of people are feeling really sensitive today. I even went and checked to see if it was a full moon tonight! :p

I don't think size and weight should really matter. Precious is 3lbs, happy and healthy. It should matter that they are healthy, well taken care of, and loved.

well no matter how big chole is i thought she was cute as a button. and i feel the same as you. it doesn't matter how big they are just that they pull at you heart

When I got Cali I really was ignorant about these teenies. I hadn't owned a Yorkie in 9 years and only wanted a dog within standard and healthy after losing my last Yorkie Gracie who was 6-7 lbs at 6 1.2 years. Cali is from standard parents both 5 lbs and may end up 5lbs. I truly feel that I have become a better more informed owner based on all of the information good and bad on YT. I am so more careful with Cali after reading threads on possible issues with teenies. I just take everyones opinions and draw my own conclusions.

I was enjoying the thread and talking about the good qualities of tinies instead of just how sickly they supposedly are and how much trouble they are and how fragile they are and all of the negativity about why it is not good to own one or want one.

Oh well, I adore my babies and hope to share the news with everyone that tinies are just as wonderful as their larger brothers and sisters... :)

Sometimes a few of us here get overly into it and our opinions. That's why I just try to state my opinion and then I make a point to not go back to that thread so I can't get sucked in. lol
