Red legged yorkie 1 Attachment(s) So my daughter was walking Bob and a lady wanted to argue with her that Bob was not a yorkie because of his color. She told her if she wanted to see his parents she'd be willing to show her. She never showed..... of course. So I decided to look up yorkie colors and found that yorkies that never change are called red legged yorkies. How often does this happen? Why does his coat so different. Heres one picture I'll try and get better ones. BTW Bob is two years old |
My Buddybear turned 2 years old in July and he is basically the same color as when he was a puppy, the same as your baby. |
Kyra is 5 and never has changed but she is not a redleg yorkie. Our Laddy we have been told is. His coat has never reached any length and his gold parts are very red. |
Two of my yorkies now passed girls their coats stayed pure black, one, face and legs were auburn, BEAUTIFUL color, the other girl face and legs were tan to blond in color. A yorkie is a yorkie, no matter what their color is. |
(His coat has never reached any length and his gold parts are very red.) Yup, that is the description of a Red-Leg Yorkie. Its a gene for color and coat texture/length variation. They are beautiful dogs and low maintenance too! Maybe more of a throwback to the Yorkies of old that earned their keep hunting vermin on the farm? |
Aw Bob is gorgeous x |
