My boy weighs 12 pounds and sports a puppy cut year round, my thermostat is set at 72. |

I keep it at 72 normally in the winter. The furkidz also wear clothes almost all year round inside as we live in the woods, have a lot of shade, & it can be quite chilly inside even in the summer. I have throws & baby blankets wherever we happen to sit during the day but they don't care to be covered by blankets - unless they get really chilled at night & crawl under the covers. My 2 boyz tend to have very cold feet. They are 3 & 3.5#, thin, & I worry about them being cold. |
We always have it at 68 and my yorkies wear clothes everyday. |
My rule of thumb, if I'm chilly, my babies are. I am usually barefoot and short sleeves so I my feet get cold, I turn up the heat for the "kids". I also use space heaters so that they get the heat being they are so close to the floor. |

23 celsius. Which I believe is 74 fahrenheit. On top of that I leave my fireplace on about 18hrs per day. And I do notice that they do prefer to be right in front of the fireplace a lot of the time. It gets so cold here though that regardless of how high the temperature is inside, if you walk next to the wall you get a chill. Many winters here it will get to -40. And that's the point where celsius and fahrenheit actually match up. 8 or so years ago it got into the -60's. Winter's are brutal in northern Alberta. |
