Is my boy a pervert? There are no small children in my house and unless, I have guests over I don't close the bath room door all the way. Needless to say, Dexter always pushes the door open and lays on the floor until, I'm done showering or what ever!! Does your babies do this tooooooooo? |
They just like being close to their humans. :) Max will come to check on me when I'm in the shower. He can't believe that I subject myself to bathing. It could be deadly, you know. When he was a pup, he would usually hide out in his open crate. That is the only time he would go into his crate. He was afraid for me.:p:D |
It's that way here to come bath time lol |
Yep Cody waits outside the shower door for me lol. When I had my pack of 3 girls they did the same thing, I had to climb over yorkies to get my robe lol. |
Shower time is he only time they dont follow me. I think they believe I will make them take a bath as well |
I'm going to make him take a shower with me tomorrow He doesn't know it yet |
It's just Pipe and me and there are no closed doors in our home! Piper has pretty much determined, to paraphrase...'wither I go, so goes she...' I close, but do not latch, door when showering and at least three times per, Piper pushes door open--I guess she's making sure I'm still in there--then she leaves, I push door closed, 30 seconds later Piper opens and we repeat the process. When the water is turned-off, Piper is waiting for me to step out so she can be sure my ankles are dried adequately...She seems to think her little tongue is far more effective than using a stupid ol' towel! |
Same here tongue dried :) |
Lilah is absolutely my shower atendee, I always throw down a soft fluffy robe or at least a towel for her to snuggle up on. She is my ever present companion for sure and if I do not leave her something snuggly she will actually just stand there and look miserable or perch on the step stool and just look kind of sad, lol. I feel like she is just keeping a look out for me and sharing in our companionship via proximity |
Lilah Charm~~That's so dang sweet...on both your parts, lotta love going back and forth! You two have a special connection, for sure; and I think you're both a couple of little honeys. |

Scottie and Casie both slept on the washroom mat each time I showered, when they were puppies. But as they grew older, they've realized I'm "safe" in there and they'll only come back to welcome me after I'm done. I guess now they'd rather chase each other around freely without me around! Going to the washroom though, they love following me in. :D They're like, you're 'sitting' in this room, okay, we'll come sit in here with you too! I've showered with Scottie but couldn't manage to get the timing right so that neither one of us gets cold. If I dry myself first, he's stranded in the tub shivering. If I dry him first, I'm in the tub shivering LOL... |

Not at all, my female Yorkie did that to me, and all of my family members, when I was young. She liked being with us, and licking our legs when we got out. My male Yorkie had no desire to be in there with me, he is like Norma Desmond, he "vants to be alone." ;) Quote:

Buddybear will come in and our of the bathroom, sometimes when he thinks I've been in long enough he will come to the shower curtain and whine, or is he just making sure I have not gone down the drain.:p He absolutely has to tongue dry my right calf and foot. . . . I don't know why he ignores my left leg......maybe he's not thirsty anymore. Lol |
No way would she come into that bathroom during shower time. I might think she needs to come in. Heaven forbid she gets cleaned. She waits right outside the door. She needs to then check out any and all products I use, just in case they are poisonous. It's clear any and all products used before or after the deadly water routine are evil. But, she likes sitting behind my legs when I go to the bathroom. |

Sophie will only come in a lay on the bath mat if I am in the bath. If I am in the shower, she watches me go in and then runs and hides...just in case her turn is next! However, my dad had to start closing the door at his house when he showers because his lab would just hop on in with him and play in the water! |
Boo always comes upstairs when I go to shower. He just likes to be sure where I am. |
Showering and your Yorkie Those are all some pretty cute stories I read and these pups all have the same ways pretty much it seems when we are in the tub be it bath or shower. My Joey wants to get in with me and carries on quite a fuss when I don't bring him in and also wants to dry me off with his tongue when I get out. I was wondering Jkpal if you ever thought to throw on a nice thick absorbent warm bath robe for yourself and then dry your Scottie off? That way you would both be warm and comfortable. I have the same problem when I rarely bathe Joey in the same tub with me. Either I freeze or he does. Not good at all. When Joey knows I am going to the bath room to have a pottie he always has to come along too. They can be so sweet! |
Why do you suppose they lick us? Do they put their scent back on us. Lol |
Lol...my little stinker Pebbles follows me everywhere, has even jumped in the shower. They just to be with you. |
