Facial Hair Coco (my Morkie) is 11 weeks old now. I'm learning how to groom her: bathing, brushing, etc. Recently, her facial hair has gotten difficult to tame. When it is wet or damp, I brush it away from her eyes and smooth the hair down on her nose. When it dries, it just sticks right back up. How can I get her facial hair to stay smoothed down and not stick straight up or out everywhere? Do you put a little gel in it to hold it in place? Or should I just let it stick out for now and wait for it to get long enough to lay down better? |
Keep combing the hair down and use a little water until it grows long enough to lay down. Don't use gel made for humans. The gel can get into the eyes and cause big problems, like corneal ulcers. Pet Silk makes a topknot gel for doggies. Talk to Mimimomo and check out her website http://www.toplinepet.com for grooming products. I believe she carries it. |
