Over excitement I've never seen her do this, but she doesn't panic or get too over-excited with me. She's not acting in pain, but, after playing hard about 30 minutes ago to the point of panting and smiling, I decided no more ball, and put it away. She calmed down, but, she was huffing in and out very quickly, t hen would rest, and it would happen again. Husband is insisting she does this in public with him, but, I've never seen this for this prolonged amount of time, and i can't get her to calm down and rest. I've tried. He keeps talking me out of going to the ER vet, insisting it's normal, and to stop worrying. |
I'm not clear as to what your little girl is doing...? She's panting hard after playing, then breathing, et al, return to normal and for no apparent reason after a bit, she starts panting hard again? Duh to me for not quite understanding! (Right or wrong, I do appreciate your husband's calm, matter-of-fact demeanor) |

Oh heck, I totally get your concern--I'm ridiculous when Piper does anything out of the usual...I mean, when on a walk, if she briefly walks slower than normal, my heart starts beating faster and I don't take my eyes off of her...I mean, I am truly ridiculous! As I've said before, I think you do an excellent job of looking out for your little gal, while maintaining your own balance!! |

Here's a little love to one quiet nut from another quiet nut...! |
Record it or have your husband record it the next time she does it and show it to your vet. This way the vet can see her in action and hopefully be able to put you both at ease. Good luck. |
