Female teacup yorkie I have a 6 yr old female tea cup yorkie that I'm looking to breed. Does anyone know anyone near Louisville ky that has a full blooded male yorkie or even a silky terrier? |
Please don't breed the so-called teacup yorkies. They're too small for breeding. It's dangerous for them to have a litter. Any ethical breeder would never breed a yorkie that is undersize. Why isn't she spayed? Breeding is not something to be taken lightly. If you want to get into breeding, it's clear you're gonna need a mentor or someone with a lot of expertise to help you. |
How much does your "teacup yorkie" female weigh? I see you would be willing to consider a silkie as a breeder.....you have never bred a yorkie before, have you? Please do not do this.....you are starting off way behind in this adventure.....and your little female does not deserve this. |
Well before you breed you need to know more about the breed like there is no such thing as a teacup, it's a term made up by bad breeders, you should only ever breed to better the breed so mix breeding like with a silky terrier is a huge no no, also you should never ever breed a yorkie under 5 pounds. |
Hi and welcome to YT - glad you joined us :)! Would love to see pics of your little girl. I bet she is adorable. I'm pretty worried seeing your post bc if you were really familiar with the yorkie breed and breeding standards set forth by the YTCA, you'd never have used the term "teacup", which is considered very taboo and a dangerous term toward this wonderful breed. There is *no such thing* as a "teacup yorkie" - that is solely a term invented by unscrupulous breeders who are trying to increase their selling price by suggesting they have a "special size" yorkie. NO such thing. The standard for yorkies is ANY weight 7lbs or under. Please don't risk your precious baby's life by putting her through a breeding - most especially bc she is dangerously tiny and you are inexperienced - that's a disaster in the making. Your girl could lose her life to this... |
I agree with what the others are saying, also isn't a 6 yr. old. kind of old for breeding? |
Please don't breed her. She is too tiny, too old and also you have no idea what you're doing. She should be loved as a pet, not bred. I hope you think about this. |
I haven't read these posts, but the thought of my little girl being bred with how tiny she is scares the crap out of me, and I'm willing to bet she's not as small as this "teacup" you're speaking about, which is even scarier if you know my dog. Please don't breed her, I understand it takes a lot of research beforehand, and if you are saying teacup it means that you haven't done that. I really don't mean to be mean! I'm willing to bet your little gal is gorgeous, though. She IS a yorkie lol. |
