Accidental litter - good idea? 3 Attachment(s) First time poster... So hopefully this is in the right place. My neighbour is a fellow morkie owner and her dog got pregnant accidentally. She doesn't know who the male dog is for certain, but she is leaning towards another morkie. I guess that's what happens when you leave your dog unattended at a doggy meet up... I am thinking of adopting one instead of having it end up in some unscrupulous hands as she is giving them away. I have attached pictures of the pups. Your two cents on what kind of mix they are. Would like to know what to anticipate. Also do you think getting a puppy from an accidental litter is a good idea? Thanks! |
hummmm, it's fluffy like a morkie, it's a mix of cuteness, what will it look like as an adult lol, that's a crap shoot, it is very cute, if you're looking for a dog,why not take one, she's giving them away, lord only knows how these free puppies will be treated, it's more like a rescue. Such a careless owner, who takes a female in season to a dog meet-up. I hope she has learned her lesson. I say go for it if you're looking for a dog. Whoops....welcome to YT |
Although I would definitely say it is ideal to get a dog from an intentional, planned, health checked breeding with known breeds- sometimes fate has her ways. Perhaps it is meant to be that these adorable little puppies were born next door and you were meant to care for one? If so I look forward to some puppy updates! And if not, I support your decision to make a choice that fits your family better with more predictability. Either way, welcome to yorkie talk! :) |
Oh my, not sure I could resist one ! |
They do look morkie-ish, but who knows...? You could do a Wisdom Panel for about $50 if you truly want to know beforehand. How old are they and what are there current weights? |
They are seven weeks in the pictures. No idea of weight as she doesn't have a scale their size. |
Oh wow- they are big! How big is your current Yorkie? |
As long as you're willing to accept the unknown, I think adopting one of the adorable little fuzzy-faced cuties is a wonderful idea! |
Pusinka is 5 years old and 5.5 lbs at last check up. It's hard to resist their faces, but I am still apprehensive as I don't want want to end up with a "big" dog. Big being relative to Pusinka. |
