Hi, I'm new! Hi! I have had a Maltese for 19 years that I buried last month. My family surprised me with a Chocolate Parti Yorkie. I am loving my new baby and would love to know any advice you might have for me! He is 9 weeks old and 1 1/2 lbs. and eating well as well as doing very well with potty training. He seems more 'active' than a Maltese. I tried to upload a pic but mine are all too big :). He's adorable. His name is Theo (short for Most Excellent Theopolis!) ....big name for tiny guy. It means Gift of God and he truly is to me :) |
Hi and welcome to YT :)!!! This thread may be really helpful: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ent-guide.html |
Hello to you and welcome to YT :) |
Welcome to YT. So sorry for the loss of your sweat little Maltese, you were blessed to have your baby for 19 years, my last girl left me at 17 yo. Yes, yorkies are a VERY ACTIVE breed, high energy, needs LOTS of exercise to burn off all that energy, have BIG attitudes, are little clowns and have personalities that will melt your heart. Would LOVE to see a photo of your new baby. You have to down size all photo to 200KB or less. |
Hello :wavey: I use a photo resize app before uploading pics xx |
Welcome to YT! You sound like me! I also had a Maltese who lived to 19 :) And you're completely right. I found my Yorkie to be a lot of active, comparatively. They're huge balls of energy trapping in a teeny tiny body! haha.. Enjoy puppyhood!! |
