Heavy sigh. I'm picking this product up in an hour, so I really hope I have some answers before then. Chewie has had problems with her poop from pretty much 3rd week here. That bout of pancreatitis and the major back up with constipation at the same time. Bouts of poop that is thin, which wasn't enough to call a vet about, and now this week. First a lot of hair in the poop and then last night with hair dangling out. I had to catch her to pull the rest of her poop out of her. Vet wants to try hair ball removal first. For cats. I read the ingredients and they just are what you guys say to do any way, plus petroleum jelly. Would you guys do this? Use that remover? What can I expect if this doesn't work? Thank you. |
Never heard of hair ball remover. I would research it and ask vet about the ingredients. Ask the vet, for sure, what to expect. Good luck |
I think the cat specific hairball 'medicine' is a lot for taste and it's just to keep the ol' digestive process lubricated, so-to-speak. They suggest you give amount like the toothpaste you put on toothbrush. I can't say for sure, for sure, but it doesn't seem like it would do any harm...but hey, best to double-check. |

With my name you might guess I'm a cat lover...bred Persians for 15 years. The hair ball medicine is tasty for them so it's easy to get down. Then the hair in their tummy or gi tract attaches to this sticky substance. We found depending on where the hair is...it either comes up or out the back end. Gums up the works so to speak so it just slides on threw! |
