Howl squeal? I have looked this up every where, did back search posts, and perhaps I'm just using wrong search terms!!! I even found the hair ball post- very scary. My little weirdo has ears DOWN when she's happy. Most people think she's scared but nope, she's a happy little bappy. She also does this roh roh roooooo sound when she's super happy we are home or in the morning when we greet her. Occasionally she'll still do the squeal, but it's becoming less as she gets older. Also, I've taught her to not shrill bark with fetch- as my daughter taught her. I have her do this roo roo growl sound. Its sounds like she's gruffly saying go, go. My question is, does any one have one that does that howl bark/squeal sound when happy? I've even tried you tube. Nope. No information. |
The howl /roo roo roo sound my little farley does. Sometimes when i come home, sometimes when he thinks its dinner time. He never makea any shrill sounds. Our chinese crested lets out some high pitched barking when we come home. Sort of more lke whining/ yelping... Haha. |
Sounds cute...you should get it on video :). |

Scottie does a similarly strange noise when he's excited when I get home. It's hard to describe.. not so much a squeal, but in between a howl and a low-sounding rooo/rawr lol..almost sounds like a human voice! To me, it sounds like he's saying "Where have you been for so long!?!" I'd never be able to catch it on video lol... he always catches me off guard. But it's the cutest and funniest sound ever! :D |
Will it ever stop? My 5 month old Yorkie goes nutso whenever someone comes over or when I get home from work. He gets so excited and lets out these super high pitched sounds nonstop not sure if you could call it a bark...anyway, something really loud and obnoxious sounding. It's similar to the cry little puppies make but a million times louder. He also has a very high pitched bark when he is frustrated and wants a toy or something he can't reach My question, is it gonna stop as he gets older??? Will his voice change like an adolescent boy's does??? I can only hope. |
So cute! Mine does the roo roo rooo sound when he's trying to sound tough. He's 3 pounds but thinks he's a Doberman lol. My 7 pounder is a big chicken who looks terrified when the smaller one is growling at something hahaha |
