Not going to the bathroom I'm watching my friend's Yorkie for the weekend. She is paper trained which is fine because I always have the pad down for my two but she's not using it. In the 10 hours she's been here she's only gone once on the floor. I didn't yell or make a big deal, I just picked it up. She's drinking and eating so I'm not sure why she's not going to the bathroom. She seems a little nervous around my two because she's not used to other dogs. The one time she went last night was when no one else was in the room. Anything I should be doing?? |

Just give her a place where she feels safe and let her be. Also check to make sure she isn't peeing when you are not looking. Little Scooter would sneak a bite or two but he would eat in front of me and he also hid when peeing. I didn't realize how much he had pee until after he left. |

I watch a friend's Yorkie once in a while that is pee pad trained. If I notice she has not gone all day I take her for a little walk outside and let her explore. Seems like that is all it takes to get her going again. I agree with above, just let her observe what is going on in your home. |
You might want to ask the owners what pads they use that might make a difference. |
She could be shy and nervous about going potty. My boys were that way when I brought them home. Max was 13 weeks old and didn't pee for about 8 hours. Teddy was 8 months and went about 6 hours before he did a stealth pee on our walk. :) |
Yeah it seems like she just goes lee often than mine as does more at once. She will still only go when no one is looking though lol |
That's my preference too :) |
