I hate not being able to take Addie out with us. Have you seen these pet cubes? Currently nagging my hubby for one :D https://www.petcube.com/en-gb/?gclid...YwBxoCdmzw_wcB |
Yes and no. Jackson gets to go a lot of places with me. So honestly sometimes I think he's glad when he just gets to chill at home and not go with me LOL... for the most part, he enjoys doing whatever it is I am doing (he often runs errands with me... whether it's to the hardware store, getting my oil changed or my car washed, or eating at outdoor restaurants) so since he does sooo much I don't feel quite as bad if some days he has to hold down the fort at home. |
I feel especially guilty when leaving my big boy home. He is the eldest and always went everywhere with me. Now he has to share time with his bro and sis. |

I know my lil boy does.. Sigh he can be so needy sometimes it is overwhelming |
I have just about stopped going out to eat now lol |
Yes, I do feel guilty when I have to leave my two Yorkies behind. They don't seem to mind though because they know they'll get some treats and toys. I actually worry about the house burning down! My husband bought me a Hubble webcam for my birthday so that everytime we have to leave them behind I can check to make sure they're okay. Usually they spend their time sleeping. |
Yes. Intensly so. I had a long reply but somehow stupidly erased it hitting the wrong key. ug |
I'm kind of embarrassed to say that we've only left Mia home alone a handful of times and it's never been for very long. I totally trust her, know she'd never get into anything, doesn't potty in the house etc., but she is often laying in same spot staring out window (not a comfortable spot either). She's 2. She goes to daycare or we have a friend who we trade watching each other's dogs. Their dog is Mia's best friend so play dates are often. |
Yes! I want to take him everywhere, even to work! Unfortunately, I can't... Maybe I should work at a vet's office or a pet store. haha My dog is one of the rare few that hates peanut butter! I did an allergy test on him and dairy isn't good for him -- gotta find something else to stick in the kong! |

Yes, totally! I feel so bad leaving as I know she barks and then howls. Like another poster said, she sits in a really uncomfortable spot and just stays there - doesn't eat treats or drink water until I'm back. I've got a Cleverdog camera which links via an app to my phone and lets me see, hear and speak. I am gradually increasing the amount of time I'm away and after a week I'm up to 20 minutes. Seeing her via the app is heartbreaking, she's just so upset. What's weird is that she's fine if left in the car, no barking and often sleeps - I think it took about 5 or 6 weeks but she's relaxed and happy now. I suppose I just need to persevere but if anyone has advice I'd be grateful. |
Who could possibly look at those pleading big brown eyes and not feel guilty? I comfort myself knowing she will not have to sit in a hot car while we are doing our shopping and dinning.;) |
There have been times I leave the car running with the air on and run in real quick |
