Puppy hair 1 Attachment(s) Hi all, seen quite a few things mentioning different coats. How old are pups when you know what coat they'll have? Love both silky and cotton, just curious 😀. What do you think of Addies coat atm? Also where do people buy bobbles/bows? I see a lot of elastic bands with bows on. Will they be uncomfortable? T.I.A xx |
I'm not well-versed on coat types so cannot offer an opinion on that...I am, however, a total expert on cute, and in my professional opinion, Addie is one of the cutest little gals ever!!! Regarding hair accessories, several members will be able to provide you with many, many options! Enjoy your beautiful baby girl! |
Aw thank you ☺. She's my baby 💜 xx |
We use scrunchies the small ones they go around about 3 or 4 times Lily is 8 months old and we have to go around the top knot 4 time as the get older and have more hair like my Bella they go around 3 times. We have a game we play to get Lily used to it we count each time we go around 1... 2...3...4... and then she knows the task is done. |
Your baby is adorable! Daisy had a thick cottony coat. We would go see her every weekend from the age of 5 weeks. At 8 weeks when we went to see her, her coat which had been slick looking and slick to her body, was all puffed out. She looked like a little ball of fur. So different than she previously looked. I don't know how the silky pups look at 8 weeks but ours was a little ball of fluff just sticking straight out. I don't know if they all fluff out like that, but ours did. |
Thank you all ☺. I will look for some scrunchies. Addie is a lil puffy. Her hair doesn't seem wet or silky even though it's super soft so I imagine she's going to be cotton coat. Love her SO much. Everyone should own these amazing dogs :aimeeyork xx |
Hi! My puppy hudson has a thick n silky coat which made me realize Ella has a cottony coat, never knew until I had the comparison lol. I have tried sooo many bow types. The only thing that has been comfortable for Ella is this- I first make the top knot with the elastics from top line, then I add a baby snap clip. I buy these on etsy- blue monster bows. Ella is small so I buy everything from the $1.00 section of infant snap clips that are lined w fabric. Once the elastic is in, I take the snap clip and open, the thread it through and snap close. It is really comfy, doesn't break hair and comes out easily! |
Brill, thank you xx |
Their coats don't fully mature until they are two or older so it's a waiting game. Some go silky sooner then later but others take awhile to fully transition. |
What about that eyeshine thing. Daisy and Toby had red eyeshine and soft thick cottony coats. Teddy Bear and Tina have thinner, straight, hair, maybe not quite silky, but both of their eyeshine is green/blue. We have had threads about it a while back. |
She is adorable and totally in love with you. Look.how obedient to sit so still to get her picture taken. |
Little Leah I need information on my Leah's coat: she is now 5.5 months old and 6.4 LBS she is a happy little girl and eats sleeps and plays very well but her coat does not seem to be very thick right now it is wooly, and has grown some since I got her it just does not seem to be doing as well as others I have heard about. Is there anything I can do to make it thicker and grow faster. |
