She POOPED on the pad!!! Finally! We've tried just about everything, and after her visit yesterday she calmly walked over, and went ON the pad. Peeing on the pad, no sweat! she can hold her pee pee in and pretty much has been able to since day one. She's come home mostly peeing on that pad, unless it's too dirty- her version which is any more than two patches. Even when I figured out she likes to poop away from her pee pad, not even extra pads did it. But finally, today, it clicked. Man she got lots of love, 'specially from hubby, who doesn't even have to pick any of this up. :p. I gave her a few pringles as a reward- her very, very, favorite. I hope this sticks, because I was expecting the outdoor astro turf indoor potty thing to do the trick. Can't stop smiling. I was able to do this thanks to the posts on here, so thank you! |
Lol our Lilly clicked two days ago and we were over the moon and then the very next day made a poo right next to her pad. But then today she went to her pad all on her own again so we are holding thumbs it was just a learning curve. |
YEAH!! Success! Zoey is six and still I make a big deal every time she poops on the pad. She runs over to me with big eyes and thrilling tail each time she poops. I ask her, "Did you go poo poo? Let me see. What a good girl". She is so thrilled and so are we. Lol. Never stop telling her what a good girl she is for going on her pad. Constant reinforced. |
YES - SUCCESS! Congrats :)! |
That's a heck of an achievement! Congrats! Now to get to be consistent is the key! |
Isn't it exciting! Just like the first time a child poops on the potty,:congrats::bravo: |
Congratulations. My Gracie had an issue with pooing on the pad when she was a youngster. She really does not want to step on the pee so that means that when she goes pee first (which is 90%of the time) she has to tiptoe around the wet area. Many times she would end up going over the edge. Fortunately we have enough space to use two separate potties. We use the frames that lock down over the potty pads to hold them in place. We have two frames side by side so she has enough foot room to do her pee then do a couple circles and do her poo away from the wet area. We have had this set up since she was a youngster so she may not even need it like that anymore. I'm not going to play around with it now. No sense in messing with something that is working.;) |
