Puppies I have house broke 2 yorkies no trouble at all . BUT,,,,NOW I have 2 male a female that was started potty training on pads. Anything white female pees on and the male hikes his leg on everything. I was told that he would stop that if he was neuter. I had them both fixed and they still won't go every time just when it suits them. What do I do now???????? Not a happy mom right now. I was told No yelling at them ,so I don't ,I just tell them bad dog and take them outside. What am I doing wrong |
Me again With bad pups potty training going bad ..I forgot to say they have a access door open 24-7 and they use it when they want space to run and play |
Dogs will always remark the areas that smell of urine. Have you been able to remove all traces of the before problem s so after surgery they weren't tempted to remark? Pads under carpet are hardest to get the odors out......May need to replace them. My best suggestion would be to start over with potty training, I know bummer,, take them out every 1/2 -1 hour with lots of praise and treats when they get it right. Someone on here sells training pads the dogs wear in the house to keep them from marking. I think they are called buddy belts. Good luck. |
I think she means Belly Bands. Wraps around little boys "tinkers". I agree start taking them outside after every meal, nap, water, play time. They will get it. |
Puppies Thank you. That's what I figured . Back to square one :( |
I've also had to start from square one after trying to housebreak on wee wee pads. Worked for a while but then Gidget decided any floor space was okay including carpet. The book How to Housebreak a Dog in 7 Days is good but I found more helpful info on the website "yorkieinfocenter.com". Gidget actually sat down in from the back door this morning letting me know she needed to go ourside--did a good pee pee for me in the backyard. Hope this helps. |
