GOSH! Hotel wants to charge me $75 for Daisy! So we made some last minute plans to go to Charlotte this weekend so my oldest son and hubby can compete in the motocross event. A few other people we know are staying at the Candelwood Suites, so I called to see how much for a pet....$75!! That is INSANE! Almost as mch as the room costs! So now we have a huge dilema, I dont feel right sneaking her in...and there isn't really anyone who can watch her. And of course now Joe and I are arguing about it, I said I wouldn't go, then he can't race if I dont...arghhhhhhhhhhh!! Last minute plans stink, but thats how we alwyas do things..lol Ok rant over..I jsut can't believe they charge that much for something so small! |

I understand your dilema as things do pop up the last minute. How come you don't wanna sneak her in? If you do decide to do so just keep the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. Also, if you have to leave her alone in the room for a bit, cover her kennel to give her comfort. Or....Pay the $75.00 and this way you wont have to worry. :p |

And hubby wants to stay where everyone else is staying. But now I just found out that we have to be at the track at 7am, and wouldn't be going back to the hotel on Sunday as check out is like 11am, so no need to go back as we leave the track around 2pm. So i would be stuck..wouldn't be able to tak her to the track either...too much going on to keep tabs on her. Oh boy... |
I would either sneak her in (if she is small) or find a friend, or you could always board her! The do not distrub sign is a good idea.. Does she bark a lot?? |

Not to comfy with boarding her, dont know anyone who does except our old vet, and that isn't the cleanest place going! She is debarked (not my doing), makes a little noise...but still.......... |
Days Inn I know there is a Days in in Charlotte, and I do not think they charge for pets. If they do, it's probably $10. |
Oh boy!! I do understand your situation. My children like to go and race quads but we haven't gone out of state so I haven't had to deal with the hotel thing yet. Anyway, I do have my mother in town who would more than likely babysit if I needed her. Too bad you don't live close to me or coming this way for the races. I would babysit. Good luck. Do you have an enclosed trailer you take with you? If so, you might be able to take her to the track and crate there and then check on routinely. |
Wow, sounds like you are in a pickle! Any YT'ers close by? I would jump at the chance to spoil your baby if I were close to you. Maybe someone from here is close and could watch her. |

nO trailer, a friend is taking their bikes in his trailer. |
Y don't you take her? I love taking Gizmo & Maddy to the race track, they love it! |

well its an indoor coliseum, so not sure I could! im working on trying other hotels close to the other one...hubby agreed we could stay at another if it were cheaper. Then I could probabyl keep her crate in our friends trailer and go out to her every 30 mins if I couldn't keep her with me (but Im hoping her new bag comes before Friday too!) |

Holiday Inns, La Quintas and Motel 6 all take pets! |
I'm sure you can find another place. She's really going to want to stay with you. Watch out for all that noise, I don't think she will like being in the crate if it's loud there. I remember you said she was afraid of thunder. Good luck whatever you decide, Too bad your not coming out here, I'd love to watch her for you. :D |
