I used dogdetective.com last week when my dog was stolen. They didn't recover the dog but I have heard good things about them. I also put his picture up on terrificpets.com. My local newspaper allows photos in its online ads which I used. I never recieved a reply to anything except the reward flyer which got one immediate and true reply. I think you should post the amount of money on the flyer since that got the person's attention in my case. Give a flyer to your mailman, meter man and children in the area who are daily in the area. My dog survived 26 days in the hood in Miami and he didn't lose an oz of his 3 pounds so don't give up hope. He came back with the same great temperament. |

I WOULD NOT a reward amount. if you can't afford much, say $50-100 some people might KNOW that a yorkie is an expensive dog and decide that they'll make more money reselling her. I would just post REWARD, that should peak people's curiousity enough. or "big reward" people have different definitions of big. Post signs up everywhere, don't forget to post in PETSMART and PETCO. It might help to put that she's a yorkie MIX and is hypoglocemic and needs daily meds or something. No one wants a sick dog and anyone considering keeping her or selling her might want to give her back ASAP. Say she's a mix so that people won't consider reselling her for breeding purposes. I know people in this area steal little dogs. they knowyorkies are worth more than 1,000 dollars purebred. Good luck and I really hope this little one returns home! |

Pet Supermarket I did get a very good lead from Pet Supermarket which saw my thief the same day as when she stole my dog. They were very helpful and were willing to post a picture of my dog. The thief went to Pet Supermarket the same day and purchased $400 of pet supplies. I think the local pet stores, vets and hospitals are an excellent possiblity of seeing the dog. If they see your dog and there is something suspicious about the possessor they may call you. One vet I spoke to you was wary about my request because of all the dog ownership disputes arising out of divorce but once I persuaded him this was not that case he was very willing to help. The dog can survive a long time if he is not cold so don't give up hope. The other benefit is that all the work you put in does seem to help with the despair and feelings of loss. |

No news yet. Thanks for the offer, OSSO! I just replied to your PM. I did list Gracie on thepetrescue.com, dogdective.com, qualitydogs.com & craigslist.org. We also went door to door in and around our neighborhood and hung flyers. We will let everyone know if we hear anything. Keep praying! Thanks, Karen |

I hope you find her. Poor little thing must be scared to death! There are some very dishonest people out there and they may be keeping her. If that is the case, I hope they have the heart to bring her back. That is my biggest fear when I bring Chloe home, is that she will dart out and run away. Lacey did it a few times. She was so fast. As soon as we opened the door, she would fly out. And we had to run all over trying to get her back in the house. When I was a kid, we owned a chihihihua mix. And once my mom took her outside to use the bathroom, and she ran off. She was missing for a few days and we looked everywhere for her. Then, she turned up in our front yard on her own. She found her own way back home. That dog had nine lives. I hope you find your baby soon. Please keep us updated. |

Oh, that is so sad. I am just reading this post and my stomach always flutters when I read these messages. I won\'t say that we YT\'ers have a closer link to God but our prayers get answered often enough to make me think He listens to us really closely. I pray that you find that litte one soon..You have to be a terrified mom and we all feel for you.. |
