What does this mean??
 
I have two male Yorkies that I got a month apart when they were around 3 months old (they're also only a month apart in age). They are both one years old now. Since they grew up together they get along.

One is smaller (3 lbs). One is a little bigger (7 lbs). Sometimes if the bigger one is laying down the smaller one stands over him and kicks up his back legs over his head and barks. What does this mean?? It kind of looks like he is trying to get him to come play but I'm not really sure lol.

I think it is an invitation to play, and a little bit of a dominance move.

My larger boy Max is the dominant one, but he rolls on his back and allows his younger brother Teddy to stand over him to start wrestling. When they are both standing, Teddy will sometimes put his front paws up on Max's back. It's definitely a dominance move that Max tolerates. :)

With such a large weight/size difference, you need to make sure the larger one does not decide he has had enough and flies into the little fella. Have these babies been neutered? You really want to be careful if they have not, because once sexually mature (which is NOW!!) they may begin to fight if they get the scent of a female somewhere in season, and obviously, the little fella is at a disadvantage and will suffer for it.

They are both neutered. The bigger one is luckily the more laid back/gentler one. Every night he lays next to the smaller one and licks his face lol. The vet actually told me my bigger one is more submissive. Good to know about the scent of a female in season causing fighting - I've been thinking of getting a third (a girl) so that's definitely something to consider. I would definitely have her spayed if I did though. I'm watching a friend's female later this summer when they go on vacation so I'll see how they do.

Yep, with the kicking he's trying to get a party started :D. I love it when they do that.

Btw, I have 1 female and 3 males - all fixed - and there are no issues.

They both sound adorable. It does sound like the little one is just wanting to play. If you do decide to get a female you might want to consider getting a female that is an older pup and perhaps already fixed. Sometimes males are not as tolerant of a young puppy as females are.
