Firstly, please don't take your ill-behaved yorkie to non-pet-friendly places like dance class anymore. It's not nice. My girl is impeccable. She is a service dog, and as such has had a ton of training. Both on and off duty, she is obedient, quiet, and gentle. She has her little quirks, like giving a couple little barks when we see my friends off duty cus she's so excited, but that's a precious thing and I adore that she feels so much joy. |
my girl is, she is 20 months old, but she is still a dog lol. So for her own safety and my comfort level when I am out, my dogs go in their crates (and yes, they like their crates). My little boy only came to us less then two weeks and for a four month old, he is dreamy, but he will need to learn the commands now that he is settling in :) |

What service does your yorkie provide? Moxie is technically now an ESA after a discussion and letters my therapist and doctor, mostly for the purposes of flying, but not a service dog because she lacks the training. She is too mischevious to be a working dog, but if her job is help with my anxiety and PTSD, she does that without even intending to. She's ill behaved, but she's also an adorable, loving, energetic friend full of personality I am forever grateful for. |
Kaira is an autism dog. She's been trained to respond when I start to have difficulty, as well as other things (like waking me up when an alarm clock goes off, since I tend to turn them off in my sleep). Esa's don't get public access, only housing and flying. As for training her to lay quietly, an obedience class will help. She's going to need to learn positions first, then add duration to them and add distraction. I can put Kaira somewhere (say, under a table during a meal) and she will remain there, dead silent, until I tell her otherwise. |
My guy is a little devil. He is two and still into everything. He is just so active. But I think a lot of that is my fault because I do not exercise him enough. These dogs need a lot of stimulation or they act out. Sammie chews everything and will chase the cat non stop even if I tell him to stop. I did notice yesterday when he was at the groomers all day and playing with other dogs he was much calmer last night. So now I am thinking of bringing him to doggy day care a few times per week. |
The other day she jumped in to the lake because she wanted to chase the geese! Okay, this is crazy! Piper did exactly the same thing awhile back!! Our two girls are definitely cut from the same cloth! |
