Discolored baby tooth? Chewie has two rows of teeth- not the whole jaw, just some. Any way, we heard crunching, and we were told at the vet today checking the fluid pocket (still there) that a molar was loose. Well, I know it's baby from lack of root. It's black on the inside. is that normal pulp? I can't find any info online. Thank you. If you need ap icture I kept the tooth. |
Black means the tooth was decayed. Food gets trapped between the double teeth, leading to bacteria growth and decay. That is why vets recommend removing the baby teeth under anesthesia if they do not fall out naturally. Most people have it done when the dog is spayed/neutered. Max had 6 removed with no problem. He was back to eating kibble by evening. |
