Sensitive Stomach Treats My Zeusy has an ulcer (which we think started from pain killers from his LCP surgery) and also has reflux. We are giving him medicine for the ulcer, and he will now be on reflux medicine. The vet also suggested sensitive stomach food. She gave us canned food to try, but Zeusy hates the smell of canned food and won't eat it. We got him some Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach for Toy Breeds kibble, and he loves it. Our problem is we are having a hard time finding sensitive stomach treats (which are very important to him). I don't want to order over the internet for fear they will be too hard or have some other issue. Does anyone have any knowledge about sensitive stomach treats? |
What about making them your self . Two bottles of baby food and 3 cups of floor mix roll out cookie cutter into shapes or just cut into squares and bake you may find the full recipe on line by googling baby food dog treats. You can then choose mild flavors and meats two put together. |
Do you mean training type treats or chew type treats...? For chews, what about Honest Kitchen Beams - they are just fish, and that's all...and fish is VERY good for dogs w/ sensitive stomachs. |
Zeusy loves the mini beggin' strips; however, they are no good for his tummy. Zeusy still thinks he should get a treat at least once a day for doing something good, especially now that we have Perseus the puppy. Since Perseus gets treats for going potty on the pad, Zeus thinks he should get a treat, too. He is really reverting back to being a baby somewhat (just like human children do) since the puppy arrived. He wants Percy's toys, food, and treats. |
