Does my yorkie look purebred? 1 Attachment(s) Ive attached a photo. |
Looks pure to me.... |
Welcome to YT from ex Bronx gal (throggs Neck area) Looks like a yorkie to me, but, is that a TAIL I see? Most USA yorkies have their tails cropped, some BYB (back yard breeders) do not want to spend the money to crop tails. Other then that baby looks all yorkie to me. |
Yorkie? Welcome to YT. Looks Yorkie to me and a cute one at that :) |
Looks totally pure AND adorable to me!!! |
I have no experience in discerning purebreds from mix, etc. But I can say with absolute certainty, she is PURELY and completely adorable!! And to my untrained eye, she looks every bit Yorkie. What a little honey! |
Yep, looks purebred. Like was said, tails aren't common but they definitely do happen and I've seen a number of yorkies locally with their tails left long. |
A very cute YORKIE! |
Looks like a purebred yorkie to me! :) What a cutie! |
So cute, my little Micah is a Biewer yorkie and i love his long tail |
Adorable and your baby looks all Yorkie! More people are asking USA breeders to not dock tails. My Teddy's tail is docked, but is a little longer than Max's, or just looks that way because Teddy has a finer build. He is a tail wagger and I love it! |
Yes on the tail docking...I had no idea until recently, it is quite a controversy-plus Europe and Canada do not do it either-right? He sure is precious!! |
Your baby looks all Yorkie to me and is precious. Leaving tails undocked is becoming more popular, even in the show world so they can compete in Europe where cropping tails is illegal. In Canada Yorkies can be shown with docked or undocked tails, but that is only more recently. I love the tails either way. |
I would say 100% Yorkie. Very cute. |
From the looks of it, it's a Yorkie. Don't be concern if it's not standard or show dog. My Coco is about 15Lb of Muscle and I love him for it. He has a sister that is 4Lb. My Lola is 8lb and she's beautiful. She's silver and light tan. |
