Licking and scratching Right under our table, on bottom. I'm not quite certain if it's licking or always sniffing, but the scratching is very obvious. She does it CONSTANTLY. Any ideas? |
Think there could be many possibilities... Fleas, allergies to food, allergies to environment, dry skin, and probably other things... |
That same vet rec'd baby shampoo. We got ultra tropical papaya shampoo, and her hair and skin is very soft. I think the shampoo must have dried her out. She isn't scratching herself; but I was worried because I did read they scratch at the floor from irritation. She seems happier since her bath with the conditioning treatment |
Hmm...I can see the reasoning that if baby shampoo is gentle enough for baby maybe the vet thinks it's gentle enough for puppy. But I chose to stick to dog products. Scottie initially was always itchy. I don't actually know why... whether it was his food or his shampoo. Then, I started using Earthbath oatmeal and Aloe (fragrance free) dog shampoo ![]() |

I've even heard advice from a vet dental tech to use the coconut oil to brush dogs teeth. I tried it, but find that dog toothpaste is cleaner. Has your baby been drinking water fine now? |
