Article regarding AKC The rescue organization I adopted Boomer and Thumper from posted an article on Facebook regarding the AKC by the Humane Society regarding their attempt to fight laws designed to stop puppy mills. I thought is was pretty interesting as I always regarding the AKC as a good organization from everything I heard about them. My dogs aren't AKC registered since they are rescues but if the article is accurate than it changes my opinion of the AKC some what. I was wondering what other's felt about this article. I'd like to see the AKC's response to this article, but on the face of it, it looks bad. I also checked the link in the article about the political candidates the AKC supports--there are some real dogs on the list :(. The AKC provides some good services, but I have to question their political and legislative priorities. |
In my mind, this would be like going to a Republican for an in depth, honest review of a Democrat.....or going to Macy's for a review about Foleys....you can not base your opinion about any "business" or "organization", gathered from competitors or different mindsets! To be fair and honest to both sides, you must do your OWN research, extensive, in depth study.....then form your own conclusions. |
This in my opinion is a political attack on AKC, you have to know the sources behind the article and the people behind the Humane Society... Are You Unknowingly Supporting this Radical ‘Humane Society’? | TheBlaze.com |

Our registration bodies to a very large extent have relied on membership dues - show fees and yes puppy litter registration fees. So it is no wonder that the AKC wants to register *commercial kennels* ones that have been licensed by the USDA and have passed all their inspections! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...ts-us-all.html for some more info here is another thread that talks about HSUS and Ebay and some consequences of policies. |
